Huge, beautiful filter feeding Manta's were often just inches above our heads as they swooped in for plankton. Whether it was coincidental or not, our boat seemed to be given preferential treatment on both mooring and bottom spots to view the Mantas feeding. The water conditions that particular evening were not the best (significant surges) but the dive leaders did everything in their power to help customers stay stable - including holding my wife down for stability as she filmed the Manta's. The Manta Ray dive experience was simply outstanding - with complete briefings that offered much more insight on Manta's than they typical dive site briefing. I would not hesitate to recommend them to any diver at any experience level.

Unfortunately we did not see any manta rays, but we will certainly be taking advantage of the half-price rebooking offer.Īs an instructor, I've seen many diver operators across the globe. The briefing was super informative and fun and she did a great job explaining the procedures and plan. We were with Jesse (Jessie?) for that dive. Fantastic experience! We had a manta dive scheduled that same night, but conditions were starting to look rough, and they allowed us to easily rebook for another night. We hadn't been diving in 6 years and were a little rusty about a few things.Becca was very patient and helpful and explained everything we asked (and didn't think to ask) to help us regain our confidence as divers. Becca was a great instructor and Captain Ryan was helpful pre- and post-dive as well. Next up were 2 morning dives with Becca & Captain Ryan. My husband encountered difficulties getting the certificate to display and the staff at the office in the morning were patient and helpful in getting that sorted. We did a PADI ReActivate with Big Island Divers, which started with online knowledge activities beforehand and then checkin with all the associated paperwork.
